Happy birthday!
Is this a friendly-looking bunch or what?
My birthday is actually on December 26, but this group of MCC friends were kind enough to throw a birthday party for me in the first days of January, once we’d all returned from Christmas vacation. We talked, laughed together, and stuffed ourselves with grilled sausages, rice with milk and cheese, carrot and green bean salad, pineapple juice and soft drinks, and a surprise birthday cake with a single lit candle. (Thank goodness they didn’t try to crowd in the number of candles corresponding to my age!)

Happy Birthday. Facebook has pretty much killed my blogging career.
I hope that this note finds you well. We are doing good. Jo is just about to turn 5 and Sim just turned 3. I passed my Spanish for Reading exams and someday would like to be able to do more than just read a liberation theologian with a dictionary....
