Smile! (three months old)

The title of this entry captures what has been the most characteristic feature of Samuel's third month: his winning smile. Over the past three weeks or so, his smile has become more frequent and more expressive. This, along with Samuel's increasing vocabulary (from "ha-ooh" to "a-goo" to less easily described "words"), helps Saúl and me feel like we're beginning to get to know our son in a whole new way; he's no longer simply a crying infant but a little person with a sweet (though sometimes demanding!) nature.

P.S. Samuel has even begun to smile during bathtime--a definite change since my October 28 entry (see below)!
