Outtakes (eight months old)

I was having trouble deciding what to write about this month, Samuel-wise: he has three new teeth coming in, but I already wrote about teeth two months ago; we have some great pictures of his smiles and video footage of him standing up, but I've already covered those topics as well. Then I started looking through our pictures from the past month and realized we have some great humorous shots of Samuel. In some cases, the photo was clearly posed (note the tell-tale hand at the bottom of the cell phone picture, for example); in others, the picture is completely candid and we probably couldn't have gotten funnier results if we'd tried!

What captions would you put on these? (Leave your ideas in the "Comments" area--I'm sure you can improve on mine!)

- You may remember Samuel's first reaction to eating solid food (see last month's entry): hardly avid enjoyment. As you can see from his interested expression in this picture, he's come around since then; I'd label this one, "Did someone say, food?":

- Of course, some foods (in this case, an overly sour tangerine) still meet with a less enthusiastic response:

- In other news, Samuel had fun trying on Saúl's motorcycle goggles--"Junior Birdman, reporting for duty!"

- In his free time, Samuel keeps a busy social calendar; here he can be seen coordinating his next get-together.

- I don't know what Samuel was actually thinking about in this picture, but it may have been something like, "Yikes, what's that in my diaper?"

- And finally, to sum things up: "Man, am I a funny little kid!"

P.S. Evident in this final photo, if you have really good eyes, is something that will probably provide some laughs in the months ahead: two Dracula-style fangs (Samuel's upper canines, which he is cutting before the usual middle two teeth, possibly just for comic effect).

Okay, the sour face one is hilarious! And of course, the last one is even better. The goggles one, I would have to say, "Up, up and away!". All he needs now is a cape.

the tangerine face: Whataya servin here; get me the manager!
the wide grin: My mom did what?
Great pictures! Love to all three of you from Dad, who is sending this.
